Re: Krugman's "A Touch of Class"

Didn't Paul Krugman read David Brooks' piece last weekend? It's not that Republicans cry "class warfare!" when Democrats point out the benefits of tax cuts to the rich. It's that they don't have to. You simply cannot run against the rich and win in America. Americans do not respond very well to bashing the rich. It didn't work against Ronald Reagan and it won't work against W. For better or worse, this isn't Europe.

If Democrats keep this up they'll never see the White House again -- unless another Bill Clinton hijacks their party in a moment of international calm.

It's not that Krugman Democrats are, first and foremost, immoral or unjust (though a case could be made for the injustice of radical wealth redistribution). Mostly, they're obtuse. And they call the GOP the stupid party. Go figure.....
