Great Picks

The "intelligent classes" are up in arms. Wolfowitz as head of the World Bank? Oh, you can hear them clucking over this one. In fact, I really did overhear one person say to another, "What's he going to do, blow it up?" I was tempted to raise the possibility of that being an improvement, but I bit my tongue. In any case, Wolfowitz and Bolton hearken back to two other brilliant picks, Jeanne Kirkpatrick and Pat Moynihan as U.N. Ambassadors.

Stephen Hayes discusses the Democrats' reaction. Take note of what he says about the NYTimes' Elisabeth Bumiller.

David Brooks' request that Wolfowitz detractors reconsider is here.
