The Convention of the Blog?

Some bloggers are thrilled to be covering the conventions and much is being made about how blogs will have access to these events. Too bad that these conventions are now meaningless. There really is no need for them anymore with the new populist, primary-based, rhetoric-filled, demagogue-inducing selection system. After all, we already know who the candidate is. Covering the conventions is like covering paint drying.

If the blog world were as radical as it claims it is, it would resist being part of these silly procedings and call for a stronger party system that was more responsible for selecting candidates.
