Christianity, Progressivism, and Foreign Policy

Peter Berkowitz explains the differences between progressivism and conservatism, the role reversal of the parties regarding progressivism and conservatism in foreign policy, and the influence of George W. Bush's Christianity on his progressivism in foreign policy.

By the way, whether Berkowitz indended it to be or not, this is a fine reply to Ronald Prescott Reagan's recent implication that George W. Bush uses religion for votes. True, Reagan never mentioned Bush by name in his eulogy to his father; but when asked if he meant Bush, he didn't deny that he did and basically said, "If the shoe fits....." This is nonesense. Agree with him or not, Bush's religion is genuine.
