Jeane J. Kirkpatrick, 1926-2006

How ironic, as the WSJ points out, that Jeane Kirkpatrick died in the week that Democrats succeeded in driving out John Bolton as U.N. Ambassador -- the post Kirkpatrick held for four years in the Reagan administration. Unfortunately, the irony shows that the group she dubbed the "blame America first" crowd is alive and well.

Check out rememberances from Norman Podhoretz and Claudia Anderson and Kirkpatrick's famous piece Dictatorships and Double Standards.
