Let's Go Back to Cowboy Talk
Diana West properly assessed Bush's "mea culpa moment" at his press conference last week with Tony Blair. Bush took back his tough talk, asking for Osama bin Laden "dead or alive," and called Abu Grahib the "biggest mistake" of he war in Iraq. West worries that Bush has lost his nerve. William Kristol is willing to entertain the possibility that Bush didn't quite believe what he said, but he isn't so sure. Kristol asks if Bush understands that the biggest mistake so far is not sending enough troops and the biggest mistake simply would be not to win the war.
