Recall Not Conservative

George Will is against the "plebiscitary cynicism" of the recall in California. Conservatism which opposes populism hopes for "ruin all around" (including for the frivolous GOP in California) in this fiasco. Will also makes the point that Schwarzenegger is no Reagan because he is lacking in strong convictions and experience.

Those who call themselves conservatives should pay attention, lest they lapse into populism. So should Will himself when he defends term-limits as I have heard him do on occassion.
