Why We Went to War
The Iraq War is paying dividends, according to the WSJ. While most of the media is focused on WMD, this piece reminds us of another reason for going to war -- changing the politics of the Middle East. For the first time in years the Arab-Israeli conflict is moving in the right direction, and (not coincidentally) Yasser Arafat is nowhere to be found.
Bush has wasted no time in getting down to the business of peace after the war. Things may not work out, but give him credit for taking a chance and keeping his word.
