Useless Indeed
Not only is the Franco-German-Russian plan to increase inspectors useless as Collin argues below, but France, Germany, and Belgium may have rendered NATO useless as well now that the Cold War is over, according to the Wall Street Journal. Perhaps the U.S. should form a new alliance with its new allies, those European countries who have recent experience of tyranny and know that the U.S. is their best bet for security. At least NATO's new members recognize the threat to global security which terrorism, employing radiological and bioweapons, possesses. It is only their membership which is keeping the alliance valid and relevant for the moment.
